Dr. Emmert graduated with honors from the University of Scranton with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She received a Doctorate in Medical Dentistry from the University of Pittsburgh in 1990. While in Pittsburgh she completed externships at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, the Handicapped Patient Clinic and Forensic Dentistry. She received the George Orner Graduation Award and selected as a Caulk Dentsply National Research Finalist for her work as an American Cancer Society Summer Research Fellow. After graduation Dr. Emmert completed a general postgraduate residency year at Lehigh Valley Hospital Center, a 500 bed teaching hospital. in Allentown, Pennsylvania. While at LVHC Dr. Emmert provided oral care in a hospital setting while expanding her knowledge of the medically compromised dental patient. The residency gave her valuable experience managing and treating dental emergencies and trauma, as well as the specialties of endodontics, oral surgery, anethesia and pediatric dentistry.

Dr. Emmert has been in private dental practice since 1991. She is committed to continuing dental education and a member of the Academy of General Dentistry.

Our Dental Team has over 100 years combined experience in dentistry! Dr. Emmert began working in 2004 with her current office and clinical staff. Our team has provided quality dental care to patients in the tristate area since 1971 when Dr. Eric Smith founded the practice focusing on a comprehensive approach to oral health. Our office helps patients to stay healthy in between visits by treating and educating patients. We understand the importance of listening to patients by helping them to feel comfortable and relaxed. This personal approach is apparent in everything we do: from making an appointments to filling out paperwork, dental examinations and treatments. Dr. Emmert and her team of dental professionals take the time to connect with patients and give them the thoughtful attention they deserve.
